Parents

Did you know that children whose parents volunteer at their school, regularly attend scheduled parent-teacher interviews, and attend general school meetings tend to do much better at school? Showing our children that we value learning and education is important and will pay off in the long run as they mature. When you're involved in your child's education, your child achieves more.

Did you know that experiences from birth through the age of six have a profound and lifelong impact on children? Amazingly, 90% of the brain's growth occurs by age 5. This is when a young child is developing emotional and social attachment, language and motor skills.

It's clear that parents play a powerful role in helping their children succeed in school and in life. Parenting effectively requires a lifetime commitment to learning. However parenting in today's fast-paced society can be a confusing and complex solitary process. Parental education can provide parents with a toolbox of strategies from which to draw upon when faced with challenges while also providing parents with an opportunity to share and care together.
